No two units here face the wind or the sun the same way. Every product below is made to measure, per window — pick what suits the room and we’ll confirm the rest at the free measure.

Powder-coated aluminium that shrugs off salt spray, tilted to steer the last of the light off the water.

Trapped air cells that buffer a west-facing apartment against the full force of the late-afternoon sun.

The practical answer for sliding doors onto a narrow balcony — tilt for light, draw fully clear for the view.

Fabric drops from a slim ceiling slot, so a renovated apartment’s clean architectural lines stay clean.

Tensioned systems for the odd-angled glazing some renovated Sea Point blocks hide behind their facades.

Remote, app, sun sensor or wind sensor — one button for a lock-up-and-go apartment.

Heat and glare stopped at the glass, before the afternoon sun ever reaches a west-facing lounge.

A physical barrier for ground- and first-floor units close to the promenade — sun, heat and blackout in one.
Shading, not security. Our roller shutters are made for sun, heat and glare control on the outside of the glass. They are not security-rated shutters — that is a different product, which we can quote on request.

Retractable shade over the balcony, wind-sensor rated for the south-easter that runs straight down this coastline.

Book a repairSmall footprints, big glass, and a balcony that gets used every evening the wind allows — this is what made-to-measure, wind-rated shading is for.
Sea Point is an apartment corridor, not a suburb of stand-alone houses — block after block of floor-to-ceiling glass facing Beach Road and the Atlantic beyond, most of it on a narrow footprint with little wall space to spare. Every window here works for its keep, which means every window gets specified properly, not guessed at.
The promenade runs dead flat and unbroken for kilometres, so the wind that reaches this coastline arrives at full strength, and the salt spray with it. None of that is solved by a standard blind off a shelf — it’s why every Sea Point quote starts with an on-site measure, not a phone estimate.
No online measuring tools, no guesswork — every window gets a real consultant with a tape measure before a single fabric is cut.
Chat, form or call — tell us the rooms, the product interest, and how exposed your balcony or glazing is to sun and wind.
An expert consultant visits with samples, measures every opening precisely, and checks hardware specification against your position on the seaboard.
Made-to-measure pricing per window, every option itemised — no surprises when the invoice arrives.
Manufactured to order and professionally installed, level and tested, with an operation demo before we leave.
Before you buy anything, read the local playbook: the western light, the south-easter and the salt — with honest product reasoning for each elevation, a two-minute ballpark tool, and the questions only an on-site measure can answer. No email required.
Based in Sea Point, working right along the promenade and just around it.
Yes — it’s standard here, not an upgrade. Awnings and zip screens are specified with a genuine wind rating, and a wind sensor for automatic retraction is the responsible spec on any exposed balcony or terrace. We’ll flag exposed positions at the free measure.
Powder-coated aluminium components and sealed exterior cassettes handle salt air far better than untreated hardware, and that’s our standard specification along the promenade. Even so, we’re honest that marine-spec fittings still benefit from an occasional fresh-water wipe-down this close to the sea.
Yes. Most Sea Point blocks are sectional title with rules on balcony fittings and facade appearance. We’ll check colours, mounting and visibility against your building’s guidelines at the measure, and flag anything that needs sign-off before we quote.
Sunscreen roller fabric at 3–5% openness is usually the answer — it cuts glare and UV while keeping the outline of the view. Lower openness blocks more heat and glare but shows less through the fabric, so we help you weigh that trade-off room by room.
Yes. Chain and cord tensioners anchoring the loop taut to the wall are standard on our installs, wand-tilt and cordless options are available for nurseries and kids’ rooms, and motorisation removes cords and chains entirely — ask about child-safe controls for any room.
Across the range — rechargeable battery motors suit a retrofit without wiring into a sectional-title unit, wired motors suit a renovation, and app, schedule or sun/wind sensor control can be added to any of it. On a lock-up-and-go apartment, one remote for every blind is often the whole point.
